Become a respite care provider
We are hiring across eighteen cities in Riverside and San Bernardino counties. No prior agency experience needed. Paid pre-employment training before your first shift.
The work
You go to a family's home on a set schedule and spend time with a child or adult with a developmental disability. That means companionship and activities, help with daily living needs and routines, and keeping the home safe during your shift. It is non-medical work. You will not be giving medication or performing nursing tasks.
What we provide
- Five hours of paid pre-employment training before your first shift
- CPR and First Aid certification support
- Harassment prevention training and ongoing professional development
- Electronic timekeeping, so your hours are recorded accurately
- A branch office that answers the phone when you need backup
What we need from you
- 18 or older, and legally authorized to work in the United States
- Willing to complete a background screening to state standards
- Reliable transportation to the homes you serve
- Patience, steadiness and the kind of judgement that does not need supervising
Bilingual applicants are especially encouraged to apply. Many of the families we serve are more comfortable in Spanish.
